5 Vacation Actions Perfect for the Whole Family

Thanksgiving is over and the festive season is finally upon us. Everyone is now turning their attention to Christmas and Hanukkah. The holiday season is not only about giving and receiving gifts, but also about spending time with loved ones, either personally or online. Although vacations may seem different this year than in the past, there are still many fun ways to celebrate.

1. Hosting a Family Game Night

Around the vacations, many families like to have a night of games - cards, board games, or even video games together as a family. Whether or not you get together as a family this year, you can still have one night of gambling! To start with, you can play online games as well as do your own trivia - and each family can be part of a separate team!

2. Make a Bake-Off

This year there won't be an office party or vacation cookie meeting, but that doesn't mean that everyone shouldn't have the opportunity to enjoy some vacation sugar. Book a day to bake your own vacation cookies together with others in your home! Make cookies, cakes, pies, or other desserts so that everyone can choose their favorite recipe. At the end of the day, you can try all the delicious delicacies you have created.

3. Watch a Family-Friendly Vacation Movie

On days when it's too cold to do anything else, snuggle on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and watch a family-friendly vacation movie like A Flintstone or Unaccompanied Minors at HBO Max, Santa Buddies at HBO and the new release of Carrie Underwood, Max Original My Gift: A Christmas Special, are just some of the great options.

4. Do-It-Yourself Decorations

No one can enter the vacation mood this year without some great vacation decorations, so make your own. You can do classic things like folding and cutting white paper to make snowflakes or making mini snowmen with cotton balls.

5. Go Treasure Hunting in The Neighborhood

Just because most people are home for the vacations doesn't mean they have to stay home. A great way to go out and hunt the scavenger hunt! Make a list of things you'd like to try and see (reindeer grass sculptures, colorful Christmas lights, Santa's inflatable figures, etc.) and go for a walk or drive to see what you can find.
